Nothing will motivate you more than to start living a greener life quite like parenthood. Suddenly the planet is no longer yours, it belongs to the little people, the ones who need to swim and climb trees and run through the grass just like you did.

If it’s not good enough for you or your baby, then it’s not good enough for the environment either. EcoMom, an Eco-Friendly Baby Products company, was founded to address the connection between the health of our environment and the health of our children. EcoMom is committed to making eco-conscious living easy, affordable, and rewarding.

eco

EcoMom has an extensive selection of eco-conscious products and there is certainly something for everyone, even if you just want to try something new, like a counter top compost pail for your kitchen. EcoMom offers a variety of eco-friendly baby products including organic baby and toddler food, organic cotton clothing, wood toys, green cleaning products, all natural bath and body products for mom and baby, and so much more!!

ec

Founded in August of 2008, EcoMom was created by moms, professionals, and those who fall into both categories. The goal was to create a resource where moms could shop for healthy, eco-friendly products that would promote wellbeing in their children. Based out of Los Angeles, California, EcoMom was founded by Balaji Gopinath and Jody Sherman. Today, the EcoMom team has expanded to include many others along with a growing community and large database of green products for the family.

Parents that prefer to purchase environmentally friendly, health conscious products can appreciate EcoMom. The site is a large collection of items that fall into these categories, including edible and non-edible merchandise. Many other online retailers offer some of the same products; however EcoMom brings them all together into one convenient shopping location.

EcoMom sent me a fabulous LOVE Reusable Bags Chill Set in Cosmic Stripes pattern and I totally love it!! I was wishing I had this wonderful insulated set with me while in Jamaica a few weeks ago, it sure would have come in handy!! They have a matching set of 3 reusable shopping totes that tuck neatly into a 4th insulated cooler bag. The LOVE Reusable Bags Chill Set is great because you not only have your reusable totes but also a cooler for meats, and frozen foods plus hot foods too, while you get all your errands run without spoilage of food.  The totes are machine washable and sturdy and hold up to 60lbs.  These totes stand alone for easy loading and unloading and are equipped with 3 mesh pockets for storage and a shoulder strap for comfort!!

CoolCanucks Review of Organically Grown 100% Organic Cotton Baby Girl Onesie!

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

Have you ever actually felt 100% organic cotton clothes? They are unbelievably soft. And, just the mere fact of knowing you have done the environment some good gives you a sense of responsibility. Organic cotton clothes are made from organic cotton, which is cotton produced, or harvested, without any pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or genetically modified (GMO) seeds.

People buy organic clothes for a lot of different reasons. Some people buy organic clothing because it makes them feel better knowing that they are doing something maintain their health and the planets health. Others buy them because they possess more aesthetic appeal. The difference between natural fabric and unnatural fabric is the way it has been grown. Cotton that is grown with the use of pesticides is considered unhealthy and hazardous to the environment and human health in general.

When people use pesticides to grow their plants, they are harming more than many of us realize. The chemicals from pesticides can easily seep into the ground and get into our drinking water, which is why there are so many warnings about drinking tap water. Everyone should buy organic clothing because it helps to make a statement to sellers. Did you know that cotton is currently the most widely sprayed crop in the world? There is no other plant in existence that is as weighed down with pesticides as cotton.

Organically Grown Baby– a new line of high quality, 100% organic baby clothing are irresistibly adorable and you will want to have your baby wear them!

Organically Grown Baby apparel line comes in sizes newborn to 9 months and is made from super-soft brushed jersey and terry velour organic cotton. Their adorable three piece sets consist of baby gowns, body suits, jackets, pants, blankets and hats that are affordably priced from $20-$38!

Organically Grown is a 100% certified organic cotton lifestyle brand that brings safe, affordable organic worker friendly products to the global marketplace.

Organically Grown Group has moved beyond baby clothing. They now have divisions for:

•Children
•Men
•Women
•Home décor

The company believes strongly in the concept of organic fabrics, as well as educating consumers about the benefits of an organic lifestyle. Their organic line of baby clothing is considered to be high quality as well as affordable by most consumers.

Their entire collection of baby clothing is made of 100% organic cotton.

Organically Grown sent me a 100% Organic Cotton Baby Girl Onesie to review, and it is beyond fabulous! So soft, so adorable, so cuddly!! Little Caleigh looks so stylish and eco-chic!

I am totally impressed with Organically Grown, and they get a huge thumbs up from me! Their customer service skills as well as delivery time were beyond outstanding as well!!

Be sure to become their Facebook Friend by clicking here, or even follow them on twitter for new and upcoming specials and deals!

CoolCanucks Blog Contest — Ecoland Organic Clothing Women’s pamper yourself gift set Review & Giveaway!!CLOSED

Sunday, October 24th, 2010

Tracy is an apparel designer and mother of two girls. A few years ago, her life changed when she and her family began following an organic life style.

She found that it gave us tremendous energy, both physically and mentally. Taking care of our health and protecting the natural environment felt great. Feeling inspired to share this good concept with everyone, she started Ecoland Inc.

“Our first brand for babies, “Ecoland for Angel”, is made exclusively from the highest quality 100% organically grown cotton, which is certified by SKAL. All of our garments are sustainable processed and sewn in a sweatshop-free environment.  Our next lines, “Ecoland for Kids”, “Ecoland for Her”, and “Ecoland for Him” are made with the same high standard as our baby brand.

Our philosophy at Ecoland is based on simplicity. This is reflected in our line, which is pure and clean, without unnecessary printing, trimming, embroideries, and appliqués, etc. Ecoland produces quality products that will never go out of fashion.

Personally, I have been deeply involved in charity and social wellness volunteer activities, especially in the environmental protection area.  I believe that living an organic lifestyle is the most important thing we can do to help protect our health and environment. I sincerely invite you to join us to preserve our mother earth!”

Have you ever actually felt 100% organic cotton clothes? They are unbelievably soft. And, just the mere fact of knowing you have done the environment some good gives you a sense of responsibility. There is no other plant in existence that is as weighed down with pesticides as cotton.

Ecoland Inc carries all sorts of phenomenal eco-friendly and eco-chic styles of clothing. Choose from many different pieces of Organic clothing such as bras, tank tops, socks, underwear, drawstring pants, gloves and so much more all for babies, children, men and women! Everything is so reasonably priced and neatly categorized on their website to make shopping with them a complete snap!!
