CoolCanucks Review of Naughty Makeovers for Nice Girls Book!!

Sunday, August 12th, 2012

When you’re tired of your look or when you realize that you’ve had the same hair and makeup styles since high school, it’s time for a makeover. If you were always labeled the ‘nice girl’ type, you can spend thousands of dollars to have a professional stylist help you with a different type of makeover to attract the hot sexy men, but there’s no need to spend that kind of money! You can do your own ‘naughty’ makeover at home and spend very little money in the process thanks to this excellent book entitled “Naughty Makeovers for Nice Girls” written by Dimitri James!

Whether you are a full time mommy, or married with or without children, or even flying solo … every girl deserves to look and feel sexy no matter what. You may ask yourself: “Sex appeal? What is that?? How do you acheive this without looking trashy?

Naughty Makeovers for Nice Girls was written by a professional makeup artist named Dimitri James, who is also the creator of Skinn Cosmetics! What’s really phenomenal about this book is that it teaches one how to dress a little classier in different situations whether at home, traveling, or even at a club or bar and gives you many different options. Dimitri instructs us on how to use makeup,  wear clothing, how to use body language and even includes which colours you should use according to your hair and skin!  Although this may take a little work to get your mind set changed, you get pointed in the right direction. This book teaches you how to become more sexy and more confident, period!

This is definitely a great how-to guide for any woman to have on hand, especially those who don’t have a natural fashion sense. Looking great and having the sex appeal helps with one’s self esteem and assists you in getting noticed. The book explains how so many times the nice girls in our world are overlooked for jobs, by men, and even in social situations which is sad but very true.

This book is a great self-help book, and I recommend that every woman own a copy!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

CoolCanucks Blog Contest ~ Naughty Makeovers for Nice Girls Book Review & Giveaway!!

Saturday, June 9th, 2012

I’m not sure about you, but I am all for looking hot & sexy when it comes to dressing up for my hubby, or even for a night out on the town with my besties. A lot of ladies that I know have let themselves go after they got married as they reached a comfort level with their husbands and really don’t seem to care what they look like in the bedroom, or even while out with their spouse unfortunately.

Looking and dressing naughty makes one feel amazing on the inside, which honestly leads to a phenomenal sex life and higher self esteem.

Many girls that I personally know need makeovers. They really need to know how to apply their makeup and dress themselves properly to look very classy without looking trashy.

This new book by beauty maestro Dimitri James called Naughty Makeovers for Nice Girls shares a ton of advice to make a ‘nice girl’ become sizzling hot but still classy. Dimitri James says that “Nice” girls are invisible, “Trashy” girls go over the top, and “Naughty” is the happy medium that pushes the envelope without crossing the line. There are a few different chapters that range from: “Naughty at work” to “Naughty First Date” to “Naughty Traveler” and “Yummy Mommy.” Dimitri James also created a line of amazing premium skin care formulas and colour cosmetics called Skinn Cosmetics!

I am pretty certain that we all know ladies that play the ‘nice girl’ role in life. They fix their hair and makeup to appear prudish. They have no sense of fashion really, as they only apply a little lip balm to their face and nothing else. They brush their hair back into an ugly plain jane ponytail. They dress themselves in turtlenecks with a cardigan over the top, and wear a pair of ugly slacks that no guy would look twice at. I know a few like this, and it truly saddens me. A makeover is truly in order, and this book would do these girls wonders!!

That’s the mantra and message of the new “tell-all” how-to paperback, physical book from beauty maestro Dimitri James. In Naughty Makeovers for Nice Girls, James creates a new kind of finishing school–one for nice girls who always finish anywhere but first.

Tired of seeing the many “nice girls” in his life constantly overlooked, James, a celebrity makeup artist, style guru and television personality, offers a lively and entertaining read full of actionable tips and tricks, showing you how to get whom and what you want.

Those open the book will learn how to look classy, not trashy, trading the prim, proper uniform of “safe” clothing, makeup and hair for something sexier and more inviting, but still situation-appropriate. “You would be surprised how many women don’t know how to use clothes and makeup to market themselves in various social or professional settings,” says James. “‘Nice’ girls are invisible, and ‘trashy’ ones go over the top. ‘Naughty’ is the happy medium that pushes the envelope without crossing the line.”

Thus, James challenges the traditional connotations of the word “naughty” and redefines it as a spirit that can change both image and self-perception for the better. In chapters that range from “Naughty at Work” to “Naughty First Date” to “Naughty Traveler” and “Yummy Mommy,” the author shows readers how to dress outside the box and re-vamp their beauty regimens to add sizzle to their style for all seasons and occasions.

Flip open the physical book to almost any page and find a small gem of wisdom, or a stunningly clear depiction of “nice” vs. “naughty” vs. “trashy,” all sprinkled with James’ trademark wit, candor and spirit of camaraderie.
Naughty Makeovers for Nice Girls is loaded with makeup and fashion advice to empower a Nice Girl to transform herself into a spicy but classy woman in every situation. So, go ahead and channel your inner naughty. Instead of fading into the background, become a star in your own life!

Take your true beauty a step higher and look and feel stunning! This book teaches you about dressing up to look naughty, but not in a bad way. You don’t want to dress nice or believe me, you are going to get overlooked. You don’t want to dress trashy though, or you are going to seek the wrong attention. This is where dressing up naughty comes into play. It’s just about bringing out your true beauty in a fashionable way. Naughty Makeovers for Nice Girls: How To Turn Up the Heat and Add Sex Appeal to Everyday Situations will give you sweet tips on absolutely everything from dressing up, to fixing your hair and appyling your makeup!
