Recently I decided that my liv­ing room was very much in need of a major over­haul. I wanted to get rid of my bland white walls, the dated cur­tains and blah pic­tures that were up on the walls. A fresh coat of paint in a warm colour, new win­dow treat­ments and some­thing amaz­ing to put up on the walls to make them pop was the way I wanted to go. I did not want tra­di­tional pic­tures on the walls but instead some­thing more cur­rent and inter­est­ing that blended in nicely with my fur­ni­ture and liv­ing room acces­sories. My biggest con­cern was to find some­thing that would look good on the big empty space above my couch. I ended up going the route of search­ing online to get some good ideas on how I could achieve this.

 

 

What I ended up find­ing online was a fab­u­lous lit­tle shop on Etsy called Urban Walls that sells wall stick­ers and the options were end­less!! There were so many won­der­ful choices that would look great in my liv­ing room so it took me a lit­tle time to decide on what would be per­fect for me.  I also loved that I could even choose the colour of my decal from a wide array of colours. I ended up with an amaz­ing Life’s A Breeze Wall Decal in brown and I am very happy to let you all know that I am totally thrilled with choice.

 

 

Once I received my Urban Walls Life’s A Breeze Decal in the mail I was so anx­ious to get started and have it grace my wall. I had never put up a decal before and was a bit appre­hen­sive and wor­ried that I would mess it up. Urban Walls included a step by step instruc­tion guide with the wall decal for me to fol­low. I read it all through and then grabbed the tools I needed to get started.  As per the instruc­tions clean­ing the sur­face is impor­tant to remove any dust and debris before putting up the sticker and the decals are intended for one time use only. Take the time to decide exactly where you want to put the decal and once you have be patient, be care­ful, be strong and be smooth. Before you know it your project is complete!

 

 

It was sim­ple to do and from start to fin­ish the whole process ended up tak­ing me less than a half hour. The results are instant and the end prod­uct looks so amaz­ing and very classy. I had never been a DIY kind of per­son but after doing this on my own and see­ing how very easy it was I am hooked and can’t wait to get started on my next project.
