CoolCanucks Blog Contest ~ Tropical Traditions All-Purpose Cleaner Review & Giveaway!!

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

I was one who was sold on all of Tropical Traditions products since my very first review with them which was for their awesome  Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil.

Since then, I also reviewed and fell in love with their Dish Liquid which is Coconut oil based. Both of the products I reviewed from Tropical Traditions totally exceeded my expectations, and from that point on I knew I wanted to review more of these awesome products!

This time around I was ecstatic to receive a bottle of their hot selling Tropical Traditions All-Purpose Cleaner. Again, this product certainly did not disappoint and worked as excellently as I expected it to.

This fantastic Non-toxic household cleaner can be used for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry, for washing your car or even can be used as dish washing liquid! Wow!! I was so satisfied with it’s performance in and around my house! It claims to cut grease and oil as well, although I did not test it out on that as of yet. I did use it all over my kitchen countertops and appliances and it left a clean and shiny finish! It floored me when I sprayed in on stubborn mildew stains in my basement bathroom shower stall too! I let it sit for about 15 minutes and then gave it a good wipe, and voila! Stubborn gross mildew stains came off like a charm! I am super pleased with this product, and is safe to use around young children and pets!!

Here are some of the handy uses for this phenomenal product:

Safe & non-toxic, this solution is for all your household/commercial cleaning needs! Replace all of your harmful, toxic cleaners with Household Traditions All Purpose Cleaner! This environmentally safe botanical mixture contains no harmful detergents or solvents, no perfumes or dyes, and is easy to use! Household Traditions All Purpose Cleaner is an enzyme-based botanical formula that can cut through the toughest grease or dirt, and is completely non-toxic.

Kitchens
Spray Household Traditions All Purpose Cleaner on counter tops, stove tops, ovens, refrigerators and sinks and wipe clean. For more difficult areas, let sit for a longer period of time. May also be used as a dishwashing liquid in the sink or dishwasher. Put in soap dispenser or foamer and use for hand soap. Cuts grease, wax and oil.

Bathrooms
Spray Household Traditions All Purpose Cleaner in the bathtub, sink and toilet. Wipe and rinse. Also spray on soap scum, mold and mildew; leave on for several minutes, then wipe and rinse clean.

Automobiles
Use 1–2 oz. Household Traditions All Purpose Cleaner in 1 gallon of water when washing car.

  • Exterior: For bugs, tree sap and tar, spray directly on the area. Let

scrub with a brush and rinse clean.
  • Engine: Spray directly on cool engine. Let sit for up to 30 minutes,
    then wipe or spray clean.

Fruits/Vegetables
Spray on fruits/vegetables, then rinse clean.

Laundry
Pre-spray stains and spots with Household Traditions All Purpose Cleaner. Use 1–3 ounces in wash cycle. Heavily soiled or large loads: Pre-spray stains and spots. If especially greasy or soiled, allow to soak for at least 30 minutes or even overnight if necessary, then wash as normal. Works great for removing blood, grease, wax, dirt & oil!

Soot/Tar/Grease/Grills
Spray directly on surface and let sit for several minutes. Scrub with a brush and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Repeat if necessary.

CoolCanucks Blog Contest ~ Tropical Traditions Coconut oil based Dish Liquid Review & Giveaway!!CLOSED

Thursday, December 15th, 2011

If you are anything like me, you hate doing dishes to begin with, but we all have to or nobody eats in the house unless you invest in thousands of paper plates. I am relatively picky when choosing my dish soap, and it has to be one that cuts through grease and actually cleans my dishes!

I had done a review last year for Tropical Traditions Coconut oil, and really enjoyed my jar that was put towards a whack of things like into baking, used in skin care products, etc! I was amazed with their coconut oil, and for all of the things that one can actually use it for!

This time around I requested to review their Dish Liquid which is Coconut oil based!

Household Traditions Dish Liquid is free of:

•Fragrances
•Dyes
•Petroleum Solvents
•Respiratory and Skin irritants

The delivery time was spectacular! I received my dish liquid within just a few days, and I was definitely impressed!  I did a load of dishes with it as soon as it arrived and really liked it to be honest, and it did not have a bothersome or overwhelming scent. I found that this Household Traditions Dish Liquid was just as they claim it to be, low sudsing, safe on my skin, and cleaned my greasy dishes left in my sink from the night before! My dishes were squeaky clean! What more could you ask for? Another thing  that I noticed was how soft my hands were after using this product. Usually after doing dishes my hands feel itchy and dry so I have to use a lot of hand creams and lotions, but I did not have to do this with Tropical Traditions dish liquid. I was very pleased with the results and I will continue to use this product in my kitchen.  Just like the other Tropical Traditions product that I have tried, they have the best dish soap in my personal opinion as it is top quality and no exception to the other product reviewed by their company! I would have to give a huge kudos to another great product from Tropical Traditions! This company rocks!!

Another thing that I just recently noticed on the Tropical Traditions website is that they have a Free Coconut Recipes section that were all kitchen tested, tried and true! It’s so astounding when you see the thousands of uses there is for coconut oil! It is used in baking, household cleaners, cosmetics and so much more!

Thanks to the very kind and generous folks over at Tropical Traditions, 1 very lucky CoolCanucks reader has the chance to win one quart of their wonderful dish liquid as well! SWEET!!!!!

CoolCanucks Blog Contest ~ Mad Hippie ‘no more crows’ Peptide Eye Repair Cream Review & Giveaway!!CLOSED

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

When it comes to achieving fabulous, flawless skin many of us will try just about anything. Certain ingredients have been hailed as the secret to perfect skin. Blackhead extractors, facial peels, pore strips and exfoliating gloves are just a few of the things we’ve tried. But it’s hard to separate the best from the rest without potentially doing a number on your skin and without spending a small fortune. Using a product that’s wrong for your skin can be like scrubbing with a Brillo pad or lathering up with baby oil.

I was beyond ecstatic when I came across Mad Hippie Skin Care Products! Mad Hippie Skin Care ( www.madhippie.com ) – Natural anti-aging skin care from Portland, Maine. Get younger, more youthful looking skin with Mad Hippie’s repair butter. Combining the best natural ingredients including Peptides, Resveratrol, Coenzyme Q10, Coconut Oil, Pomegranate, Green Tea, Acai Berry, Grape Seed Extract & more, Mad Hippie literally helps hold back the hands time. Mad Hippie Skin Care donates 10% of all profit to Conservation International as well which is phenomenal!!

mh

Mad Hippie sent me their amazing ‘no more crows’ Peptide Eye Repair Cream to review and the results were almost instantaneous! I just got this product a few days ago, and started to review it the day I received it. This product honestly went to work on the bags under my eyes immediately and I was overly impressed with the results!! It is a blend of White Tea and Pomegranate and battles wrinkles, discoloration & known for battling bags under the eyes!

Mad Hippie Skin Care Products just released a great new eye cream that works to heal aging, dull looking skin around the eyes. By combining nature’s most potent antioxidants with powerful peptides, Mad Hippie’s eye cream, “no more crows,” not only works to heal and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, but is effective in battling discoloration, swelling and the ever infamous bags under the eyes. The cream is a moisturizing blend of pomegranate oil, white tea extract, argan oil, vitamin E, vitamin C and advanced peptide complexes that heal and soothe the skin, increase microcirculation and effectively promote collagen production. By combining the best and most proven ingredients Mad Hippie brings a product that is effective against battling aging skin, but does not break the wallet.

Mad Hippie will ship anywhere in the U.S. and Canada as well which is awesome!!

The very kind and generous folks over at Mad Hippie Skin Care Products have graciously offered to give one very lucky CoolCanucks reader the chance to win a bottle of this amazing ‘no more crows’ Peptide Eye Repair Cream as well! CoolCanucks Blog Contest ~ Tropical Traditions Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Review & Giveaway!!CLOSED

    Friday, June 11th, 2010

Coconut oil is both a healthy and great-tasting addition to smoothies, shakes, and other yummy treats. Thanks to Tropical Traditions, you get nothing but the best!

Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil is one of the first virgin coconut oils to be exported to the United States from the Philippines.

Brian Shilhavy (founder of Tropical Traditions) discovered the health benefits of coconut oil after moving to live in the Philippines with his wife, Marianita. He believes that coconut oil made by traditional methods is superior to the modern coconut oils found in stores.

Tropical Traditions offers 3 types of coconut oil:

    1. Gold Label Certifed Organic Coconut Oil
    2. Tropical Traditions Green Label Organic Coconut Oil
    3. Tropical Traditions Expeller-pressed Coconut Oil

I found the oil to have a very rich coconut flavor, tantalizing to the tastebuds.  I even tried mixing a tablespoon of this oil into my cup of coffee (try it, you’ll like it!) and it melted instantly! When I used the oil as an after-shower skin moisturizer it absorbed quickly and smoothly, leaving my skin soft, smooth and healthier-looking (not to mention smelling heavenly!) The uses for Coconut Oil are amazing, did you know that you can even cook with Coconut Oil?? I did not know that until recently! See all of the great recipes on the Tropical Traditions website by clicking here! We made a batch of banana chocolate chip muffins with with the coconut oil instead of butter or oil and they were beyond just delicious!

“Virgin Coconut Oil is a food, and is one of the best cooking oils you can use. It has been a staple cooking oil for thousands of years in tropical climates. As a cooking oil, its chemical structure is kept in tact and therefore is resistant to mutations of fatty acid chains even when used in higher cooking temperatures, unlike most vegetable oils. Research shows that the medium chain fatty acids found in coconut oil boosts the body’s metabolism, raises body temperatures, and helps provide greater energy which can lead to weight loss.”

    gold_label_virgin_coconut_oil_32oz

Here is a picture of a gentleman transporting organic coconuts far away from the pollution of any city or roads in the rural mountain areas of Mt. Banahaw in the Philippines, in preparation to make Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil:

This grade of coconut oil can be applied directly to the skin for conditioning. It is great for eliminating dandruff. As a cooking oil, its chemical structure is kept intact and therefore is resistant to mutations of fatty acid chains even when used in higher cooking temperatures, unlike most vegetable oils.

I definately give Tropical Traditions a huge thumbs up, and recommend this great Coconut Oil to everyone!

DISCLAIMER: Tropical Traditions provided me with a free sample of this product to review, and I was under no obligation to review it if I so chose.  Nor was I under any obligation to write a positive review or sponsor a product giveaway in return for the free product.

The very kind and generous folks over at Tropical Traditions have graciously offered to give one lucky CoolCanucks reader the chance to win a quart sized jar (32 oz) of this amazing Organic Virgin Coconut Oil as well!! SWEET!!
