CoolCanucks Blog Contest ~ Kicking Horse Coffee Review & Giveaway!!

Wednesday, May 16th, 2012

Located in beautiful Invermere, British Columbia, Kicking Horse Coffee is the #1 rated coffee in Canada!

Kicking Horse Coffee was one of the first 10 companies in Canada to sign on with TransFair Canada in 1998 and in 2003 Kicking Horse Coffee went 100% organic, only purchasing and roasting 100% Certified Organic coffee beans. In 2007 they became dedicated to 100% Organic Fair Trade. Kicking Horse Coffee continues to be Canada’s #1 selling Organic Fair Trade which is phenomenal!!

I recently had the opportunity to try the best coffee ever, and that is was! Kicking Horse Coffee sent me a canister of their Kick Ass Coffee, and my friends and I totally fell in love! I opened it and I automatically savored the sweet coffee smell prior to it even starting to brew!! The tantalizing aroma filled my house with love! And the taste? It was so incredibly delicious and had everyone heading back for a 2nd cup!!

“Roasting coffee is a science and an art form. It involves coordinating heat, air flow, time and technique. Kicking Horse Coffee offers three main types of roasts. Our dark roasts provide a rich, full-bodied, sometimes-chocolaty flavour. Our medium roasts are smooth and well-balanced between acidity and body. Our light roasts can be floral, fruity, sweet and rich. They are all worth a taste.”

Kicking Horse Coffee gets a huge thumbs up from CoolCanucks, and I recommend this phenomenal tasting coffee to everyone!!!!!

CoolCanucks Blog Contest ~ Tylers Acid Free Coffee Review & Giveaway!!CLOSED

Saturday, December 17th, 2011

Sponsored by

Introducing the awesome Tylers Acid Free Coffee that certainly delights the tastebuds! Tylers Coffee says they use a “Z-Roasting” process that optimizes the time the coffee beans are cooked; that results in high levels of caffeine and free of acid. Their computerized “Z-Roasting” system optimizes roasting time to assure that Tylers Coffee is acid free coffee with maximum flavor.

Tylers Coffee is a small family business based in Southern Arizona. They recommend using purified water for a truer, cleaner taste, and they are so right! We both tasted this yummy coffee this week using filtered water, as did my bestie when she was over. She demanded to know the name of this acid– free coffee, and where she can purchase this for her own household.

One may choose the caffeinated version, (for caffeine fiends like us) or the decaffeinated coffee which uses Swiss Water Process that holds in the flavor of the coffee bean as it takes out the caffeine.

“When I was sixteen years old, I decided to pursue my aspiration.  I told my dad of my plan to be an entrepreneur and he supported me completely.  He himself had caught the entrepreneurial bug and I know he is the one responsible for passing it on to me.  I have always looked up to my dad and I knew I could make him proud.  So a couple days after my revelation, my dad asked me the question that would shape my future, “Tyler, what are the two biggest commodities in the world?”  I had no idea.  He told me to go look it up and I rushed to my computer to find that the first was oil and the second was coffee.  We decided that oil was a little of my reach but coffee was just waiting for me to sell it.

My dad had a friend in the coffee business and one day he presented me with silver packs of coffee that had been roasted in Bosnia.  I agreed to sell them and set off door to door with my bike and a backpack full of coffee.  After I sold the first two cases, my dad’s friend realized I was serious and had ten more cases shipped.  With those cases of coffee began the company we all know today as Tyler’s Coffee.  The support I received from my dad and his friend was the foundation of my company. The next four years I grew and matured immensely.  I needed to make sure I was not underestimated due to my age.  I researched and studied my project to make sure I could answer any question precisely and in detail.  This revival of my passion for entrepreneurialism were vital to who I am today and the success of my business.During the 2006 holiday season came the most wonderful gift of all, a spot on the shelf of an exclusive, high-end Arizona grocery store chain called AJ’s Fine Foods. The success at the store in Tucson was phenomenal, so much so that we are now in every branch of AJ’s throughout Arizona. We sold more coffee in a month than any other new coffee company found in AJ’s. For now we plan on continuing to advertise our product and gain worldwide prestige.”
As much as I love my coffee, unfortunately my stomach does not. Sometimes, the acid amount in coffee will upset my stomach, or I get a quesy burning sensation. This did not happen with Tylers Acid free coffee thank goodness, and I now declare Tylers Coffee the best coffee out there!!

Thanks to the very kind and generous folks over at Tylers Coffee, 1 very lucky CoolCanucks reader has the chance to win their own sample pack of Tyler’s delicious Coffee! SWEET!!!!!
