Orig­i­nally seen on HBO, these won­der­fully ani­mated sto­ries — 13 episodes in all, per­fect for the whole fam­ily and never before avail­able together as a com­plete sea­son — fol­low Babar, his fam­ily and friends under­tak­ing many chal­lenges and adven­tures, all while teach­ing the most valu­able les­son of all: despite life’s chal­lenges, great things are pos­si­ble if one never gets dis­cour­aged. Babar is a young lit­tle ele­phant who under­goes many chal­lenges and adven­tures. How­ever, Babar always finds the strength to rise above dif­fi­culty and search out every cloud’s sil­ver lin­ing. Babar is crowned king of the ele­phants, plans and builds Celesteville, and becomes a daddy him­self. And he learns the great­est les­son of all: despite life’s chal­lenges, great things are pos­si­ble if one never gets dis­cour­aged. As a young boy, Babar wit­nesses the slaugh­ter of his mother by a hunter and flees from the Great For­est to the city, where he is cared for by a very sweet Old Lady. Babar learns the work­ings of the world and returns to ele­phant land full of ideas for progress in his land. The ele­phant elders see that Babar has become wise beyond his years and crown him as the New King of ele­phant land!!

 

 

 

 

 

We were tick­led pink when we found out that we were to going to review BABAR: THE CLASSIC SERIES: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON on DVD. The chil­dren spent lit­er­ally hours watch­ing this DVD and enjoyed every minute of it!

Enter­tain­ment One (eOne) is one of the largest music and video dis­tri­b­u­tion com­pa­nies in Canada! They were so kind pro­vid­ing me with BaBar, the com­plete first sea­son on DVD. I also was able to watch a lot of this DVD, and I per­son­ally loved it just as much as the kids! Note of Warn­ing: The first episode of Babar con­tains a rep­re­sen­ta­tion of death that may dis­turb some sen­si­tive younger view­ers, although it didn’t even don on the kids here! :)

Treat your entire fam­ily to these time­less BaBar sto­ries that have enchanted, enter­tained and informed gen­er­a­tions of chil­dren from all over the world!

 

These are great DVD’s for bed­time, play­time, or even quiet time! {There is such a thing when these are in the DVD Player, believe me!}
These beau­ti­ful and faith­fully ani­mated sto­ries bring out the magic of the great­est children’s lit­er­a­ture to life!

 

 

 

 

BaBar was cer­tainly wel­comed into our house­hold, and has cre­ated won­der­ful mem­o­ries for years to come!

I give this Sea­son One a huge thumbs up, and the kidlets can hardly wait for me to order the cor­re­spond­ing BaBar DVD’s!
