CoolCanucks Blog Contest – Petcurean Pet Nutrition Dog and Cat Food Review & Giveaway!!CLOSED

After find­ing Petcurean Pet Nutri­tion while search­ing for unique healthy pet food for my two dar­ling dog­gies via the inter­net, I wrote this com­pany imme­di­ately to see if they wanted to do a review and give­away with us here at Cool­Canucks, and they imme­di­ately obliged! I was ecsta­tic, and could not wait to see what my very picky pups thought of their new food.

I was sent 3 coupons in the mail — two of which were valid for my dogs — both in 10 lb bags! The third coupon was valid for a cat, also in a 10 lb bag which I gave to my niece who has a cat!

I went and picked up my one free bag for my two small breed dogs, one is a 4lb, 5oz teacup pomeran­ian, and the other is a King Charles Cav­a­lier Spaniel. I was leary at first, as BOTH of my dogs are extremely finicky and choosy when it comes to their meals. To my sur­prise, this dog food was a hit at my house, and myself or hubby could hardly believe it! I chose a 10 lb bag of “Now!”  from THE NOW! GRAIN FREE FAMILY.

I was pre­vi­ously using a well-known brand of dog food for small breeds, but I got con­cerned of the fillers used in that par­tic­u­lar brand. Many senior dog foods and weight loss foods are often jam packed with fillers.  In diet food the dog is poop­ing out what it can not digest and is not tak­ing in as many nutri­ents or calo­ries.  You would be eas­ier on the dog to feed a bet­ter qual­ity food in a smaller amount, and sup­ple­ment­ing with low calo­rie veg­eta­bles to fill the dog up.  Senior foods are try­ing to give a dog less calo­ries.  But by pack­ing it full of fillers what exactly are you pay­ing for?  Your dog to poop more than it should need to?  Bet­ter com­pa­nies do have bet­ter senior foods, but you really need to read the labels to find some­thing that is worth the cost.
