Being huge tea drinkers at my house as well as at my par­ents, I just knew that I had to try all of the huge assort­ment of teas that Tea Gal­lerie car­ries! After com­ing across their web­site, my eyes lit­er­ally popped when I saw many dif­fer­ent mouth­wa­ter­ing fla­vors that I have never tried before!!

I was sent two deli­cious teas to sam­ple, and as expected, they tasted just as good as described! I received one pack­age in Pas­sion­fruit Black, as well as White Coconut Crème! My mother and I had a field-day exper­i­ment­ing with these 2 scrump­tious fla­vors! Also, the pack­ag­ing is so pretty, just like on their website!

I am always look­out for fan­tas­tic new prod­ucts to pam­per my skin and my body but also find that my skin is super sen­si­tive and will break out eas­ily if in con­tact with some­thing that has too many chem­i­cals in it. I used all of the Sibu Beauty prod­ucts over the period of a month and really have found a dif­fer­ence in how health my skin looks and feels. It did not have any adverse reac­tions like break­outs or red­ness when using the Sibu Beauty prod­ucts. For years I have had a bit of red blotch­ing around my nose and on my cheeks and found that these prod­ucts have helped reduce that redness.

 

 

 

 

I used the Sibu Beauty facial cleanser reli­giously each and every day, it is not harsh, rough on my skin and does not feel dried out after, like I find many cleansers to be. In the evening I would use the Sibu Beauty Hydrat­ing Serum on my face and neck. This prod­uct is not oily or heavy I loved the way it felt on my skin after using it. In the morn­ings I would use the day­time facial cleanser and let it soak in before apply­ing my makeup. I like that it hydrates and mois­tur­izes my skin and keeps it feel­ing that way all day long.  All in all though, using these prod­ucts together has made a notice­able dif­fer­ence, my skin is feel­ing so much health­ier, the blotchy red­ness has been reduced and my skin feels so much softer. I would rec­om­mend these Sibu Beauty prod­ucts for any­one who wants to beau­tify and pro­tect their skin.

Body Type #1: Straight

“Straight with very few curves, this body type is small all over and needs a swim­suit to add vol­ume and curves to the waist, butt and hips. Great one piece options include cut-out sides, strap­less with ruch­ing at the top and moulded cups or inserts for added lift. For biki­nis, look for a hal­ter or V-shaped top and a bot­tom with fun side ties to add vol­ume to the hips.”

 

Body Type #2: Pear Shape

“Pear shape body types have an over­all smaller upper body and are larger on the bot­tom. To add bal­ance and cre­ate a more sym­met­ri­cal shape, ‘pin-up girl’ style one-piece swim­suits are a fan­tas­tic option; look for some­thing with a plung­ing neck­line or ruf­fles around the top to draw the eye upward. For two-piece swim­suits, a skirt-style bot­tom works well with a top of the same colour. Go for a darker shade for a slim­ming effect!”

 

Body Type #3: Curvy/Hourglass

“Curvy/hourglass shaped women are gen­er­ally look­ing for sup­port and cov­er­age in a bathing suit. Try to avoid one-piece suits alto­gether as this tends to cre­ate a boxy look. Go for a top that has seam­ing under the bust; V-shape, hal­ter or one-shoulder are all great options for added sup­port. Darker bot­toms in a solid colour or small pat­tern work well to bal­ance out the figure.”

 

Body Type #4: Athletic

“For women with an ath­letic shape, look for a swim­suit that has more fem­i­nine cuts and details to bal­ance out a less curvy fig­ure. Any­thing with ruch­ing, detail, and tapered bot­toms in the back will give a curvier appearance.”

 

Body Type #5: Apple Shape

“Apple shaped women tend to hold weight in the mid-section, with thin­ner arms and legs. To add def­i­n­i­tion to the waist, a one-piece swim­suit with a cute belt is a great option. Also try colour block­ing on the sides, which cre­ates the look of a more defined waist. For two-piece suits, try a hal­ter or deep V shape to bring the eye upward, with an empire bot­tom to accen­tu­ate the waistline.”

CCFC and AbbVie Awarding Scholarships to Empower Students Living with IBD

 

 

Crohn’s and Col­i­tis Foun­da­tion of Canada and Abb­Vie Cor­po­ra­tion Award­ing Schol­ar­ships to Empower Seven Incred­i­ble Youth with IBD

 

Nom­i­na­tions now being accepted for Sec­ond Annual Schol­ar­ship Pro­gram that rewards remark­able stu­dents liv­ing with Crohn’s dis­ease and ulcer­a­tive colitis.

Canada has one of the high­est reported preva­lence of inflam­ma­tory bowel dis­ease (IBD) in the world and 20–30% of peo­ple with IBD are diag­nosed before the age of 20*. To sup­port Cana­dian stu­dents liv­ing with IBD and raise aware­ness about this chronic dis­ease, the Abb­Vie IBD Schol­ar­ship Pro­gram  is accept­ing nom­i­na­tions from young peo­ple liv­ing with IBD.

In part­ner­ship with the Crohn’s and Col­i­tis Foun­da­tion of Canada (CCFC), the Abb­Vie IBD Schol­ar­ship Pro­gram is designed to award stu­dents who are liv­ing well with IBD, and strive to sus­tain an opti­mal level of well­ness allow­ing them to excel while inspir­ing oth­ers to do the same. Through an unre­stricted edu­ca­tional grant by Abb­Vie, CCFC will extend seven (7) one-time schol­ar­ships of up to $5,000 CAN to stu­dents liv­ing with IBD who are enter­ing into or are cur­rently attend­ing a post-secondary edu­ca­tional insti­tu­tion. Stu­dents of all ages are wel­come to apply and the schol­ar­ship can be used for any Cana­dian post-secondary insti­tu­tion.  “I am com­mit­ted to liv­ing each day to the fullest and I’m so grate­ful to the CCFC and Abb­Vie for giv­ing me the oppor­tu­nity and inspi­ra­tion to push harder and help me excel at my aca­d­e­mic goals,” says Clin­ton Shard, one of seven (7) 2012 “gutsy” schol­ar­ship win­ners. “While the mon­e­tary schol­ar­ship pro­vides an incen­tive, it also rep­re­sents an invest­ment in assist­ing stu­dents liv­ing with IBD and help­ing us achieve our dreams.”

Through ini­tia­tives such as the schol­ar­ship pro­gram, Abb­Vie aims to con­tinue accel­er­at­ing the recog­ni­tion of the bur­den of IBD and help fur­ther the global dis­sem­i­na­tion of evolv­ing approaches to bet­ter care for peo­ple liv­ing with IBD.

A recent sur­vey con­ducted by the CCFC found that 69 per­cent of peo­ple who had IBD when they were young were delayed in com­plet­ing their post-secondary edu­ca­tion. 89 per­cent who had IBD as a child felt that they could have achieved more at school with­out their dis­ease. Since there is cur­rently no known cure or cause, young peo­ple need strate­gies to achieve their best long-term health despite their diagnosis.

Unfor­tu­nately, a major­ity of peo­ple liv­ing with IBD endure many chal­lenges when it comes to their edu­ca­tion. With inten­sive med­ical treat­ments, debil­i­tat­ing symp­toms and lengthy hos­pi­tal stays, keep­ing up with school can become extremely difficult.

“Due to the iso­lat­ing nature of the dis­ease, peo­ple liv­ing with IBD too often miss out on the great life expe­ri­ences many of us take for granted, includ­ing com­plet­ing their edu­ca­tion,” says Dr. Kevin Glas­gow, CCFC’s Chief Exec­u­tive Offi­cer. “The Abb­Vie IBD Schol­ar­ship was born of the desire to sup­port stu­dents with Crohn’s and col­i­tis and help empower them to con­tinue their edu­ca­tion and excel to their fullest poten­tial. CoolCanucks Review of Brother Canada’s Smart Business Machines ~ All-in-One Multi-Function Center

 

 

After recently con­nect­ing with Brother Canada, I was aston­ished to see such an exten­sive lineup of awe­some prod­ucts that they actually sell!

When I thought of Brother Canada, I actu­ally thought of sewing machines right off the hop, and was not obliv­i­ous to the fact that they sell phe­nom­e­nal sewing machines as well as awe­some office machines!

One thing that I did not know was that Brother Canada also car­ries a phe­nom­e­nal lineup of type­writ­ers, fax machines, labellers, scan­ners, and even the best Busi­ness Smart print­ers!!

 

 

 

 

 

Brother Canada and designer Saman­tha Pynn are on a mis­sion to help Cana­di­ans fall in love with their home offices again and cre­ate spaces that are both styl­ish and func­tional.  Home offices are often neglected spaces – filled with clut­ter, mis­matched fur­ni­ture and bad light­ing – but it doesn’t have to be that way!  Using some sim­ple design tech­niques and Brother’s office equip­ment solu­tions, like the small and sleek Busi­ness Smart inkjet all-in-ones, the home office can be trans­formed into a wel­com­ing space that is also a pro­duc­tive place to work.

“Peo­ple who work from home get the lux­ury of being able to design, style and cre­ate their work­space based on their own per­sonal style,” said Saman­tha Pynn, expert inte­rior dec­o­ra­tor, styl­ist, and host on HGTV Canada. “As we all look to max­i­mize every hour of every day, it’s time to rein­vig­o­rate our home offices to cre­ate not only styl­ish spaces but more pro­duc­tive, func­tional and effi­cient ones.”

Cana­di­ans want to spruce up their home offices. According to a new Vision Crit­i­cal national sur­vey* com­mis­sioned by Brother Canada, 82 per cent of men and women sur­veyed who work from home say they do invest time, effort and resources into mak­ing their home office look styl­ish and appeal­ing – but 20 per cent are still strug­gling to cre­ate a space that reflects their own style and per­son­al­ity and eight per cent work out of any place at home that is avail­able and con­ve­nient at the time.

Accord­ing to Pynn, there are a few sim­ple tech­niques we can use to freshen up our home offices, which is impor­tant as 40 per cent of peo­ple sur­veyed say they plan on meet­ing with clients and col­leagues at their home office: • Incor­po­rate fur­ni­ture pieces that seam­lessly fit with your exist­ing décor – don’t be lim­ited by tra­di­tional office furniture

• Use brightly coloured area rugs to cre­ate a defined space that’s all your own

• Brighten up your work­space with table lamps and non-fluorescent over-head lighting

• Use dec­o­ra­tive trays to store office essen­tials and equip­ment like sta­plers, tape dis­pensers, pens and paper to cre­ate ele­gant and func­tional groupings

 

 

With one third (34 per cent) of employed Cana­di­ans work­ing from home at least once a month, the sur­vey also dis­cov­ered these work­ers’ unique tech­nol­ogy needs:

  • 82 per cent of respon­dents ranked print­ers as a very impor­tant piece of home office equip­ment – fol­low­ing only lap­tops (86 per cent) and well ahead of items like smart­phones (40 per cent) and tablets (12 per cent)
  • 93 per cent of those polled agree that hav­ing the right office equip­ment and tech­nol­ogy is required to be productive
